Infrastructure   Water and Ecology

We have built large-capacity hydroelectric dams, and have started and operated wastewater treatment plants, as well as rainwater catchment and potable water systems.

We entered Mexico’s water and sanitation sector in 1991, as pioneers in the process. Our first project was to build the aqueduct to deliver water in bulk to Cancun, Quintana Roo.

As a result of our success, we obtained the concession for the municipalities of Benito Juárez and Isla Mujeres for an initial 30-year term. In 2014, we were granted an extension trough 2053, and now provide in addition water, sewage, and wastewater treatment services to the municipality of Solidaridad.

We are pioneers in this industry in Mexico and are now backed by 25 years of experience building large-scale projects and solutions.
Thanks to this agreement, our subsidiary, Desarrollos Hidraulicos de Cancun, became the first private Mexican company to obtain an exclusive concession to provide this type of service.
