Toll Roads   Acceso Oeste a Buenos Aires, Argentina

This project was built by an international consortium named Grupo Concesionario Oeste, which includes Roggio (Argentina), CBPO (Brazil), IJM (Malaysia) and GMD. The investment required for this project exceeded 300 million USD and was executed in two phases.

Phase I (named the Vergara-Luján Section) was inaugurated in June 1997.

The primary objective was to optimize the existing infrastructure which served as the initial step towards a permanent solution. The completed projects facilitated the full restoration of the existing road, the construction of toll-free collector roads and additional works.
This work encompased the highest technological and ecological standards.

Phase II (Av. Gral. Paz-Vergara Section) was completed in September 1998.

This crucial infrastructure project involved the construction of a new highway section with four lanes on each side and corresponding collector roads. It provided a safe and efficient connection between Lujan and the Buenos Aires city center, allowing traffic to flow directly and smoothly.

To minimize the environmental impact, this highway was built in a trench, allowing noise attenuation and vertical gas dissipation, reducing visual pollution and opening spaces that were covered with green areas.

GMD was in charge of the highway's operation until 2001, ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow.
